This session will provide staff with an overview of the University's complaint processes and outcomes.

This workshop will explore how generative AI tools can support your thinking and development as a researcher and academic writer. You will learn specific prompts you can try at each of the six stages of research writing, and the strengths, limitations and ethical considerations of the use of such prompts.

This training is to understand how to implement trauma-informed practices and approaches into decision-making processes, with an emphasis on gender-based violence. 

The information stand will promote knowledge and awareness of the importance and value of integrity to UQ. UQ staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about research, academic and workplace integrity. Everyone is welcome!

In an era of increasing complexity and scrutiny, philanthropic decisions demand more than instinct they require confidence, clarity, and trust. This session explores how a contemporary risk management framework, strengthened by AI-enabled agents, can transform how advancement teams assess risk, navigate uncertainty, and build sustainable philanthropic relationships.  

This session will provide an overview of the National Higher Education Code for Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response, and the new Safer Communities Unit.

Join us for an engaging session with Associate Professors Christine Slade (UQ) and Tim Fawns (Monash), exploring the second phase of our research into how students and educators experience and navigate artificial intelligence (AI). Building on insights from our large-scale student survey, we share new findings from our co-design workshops, called CoLabs, where students and staff worked together to rethink academic integrity in education.

This interactive workshop explores how researchers can navigate publication pressures without compromising ethical standards. The session will examine common integrity challenges, with a particular focus on responsible authorship practices and effective research data management. Participants will gain practical guidance to support transparent, accountable, and high‑quality research.

We're looking for staff volunteers to be part of the UQ Integrity Ambassador Network. The goal of the network is to engage our colleagues and workplaces by promoting and initiating activities that enhance integrity and ethical practices at UQ. All UQ researchers, teaching staff and students using live non-human vertebrates, cephalopods or crustaceans (if working interstate) require approval from an Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) prior to commencing any animal work. This session covers the legal framework and guiding policy and procedures, the ethical and guiding principles, and the process of seeking ethical approval from one of the five UQ AEC prior to starting your project. 

An engaging and interactive workshop designed to spark meaningful conversations about ethical dilemmas and decision-making in the workplace. This in-person training session is not just another lecture—it’s a dynamic experience driven by real-world scenarios.

Integrity Week will be officially opened by Professor Deborah Terry AC, Vice-Chancellor and President, UQ, followed by the keynote event—a panel discussion that aims to explore how governance, ethical leadership, social license, and institutional resilience intersect with compliance pressures, and how these shape trust in higher education.
