Research Ethics: Ethical Research and Teaching with Animals

All UQ researchers, teaching staff and students using live non-human vertebrates, cephalopods or crustaceans (if working interstate) require approval from an Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) prior to commencing any animal work. This session covers the legal framework and guiding policy and procedures, the ethical and guiding principles, and the process of seeking ethical approval from one of the five UQ AEC prior to starting your project.
