Research Ethics: Care and use of animals

All UQ researchers, teaching staff and students using live non-human vertebrates, cephalopods or crustaceans (if working interstate) require approval from an Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) prior to commencing any animal work. This face-to-face session covers the legal framework and guiding policy and procedures, the ethical and guiding principles, and the process of seeking ethics approval to ensure the University upholds its commitment to protecting animal welfare.
